Andy French 5th Aug 1959 — 15th Apr 2024
It is with great sadness, that we have to announce, that our long time colleague Andy French passed away suddenly on 15th April 2024.
The Funeral Service was Monday 3rd June 2024, Time: 1.15pm
at the Heart of England Crematorium, Nuneaton, CV11 6WZ.
Andy was a member of East Midlands Model Club for 20+ years.
A stalwart of the Clubs' Annual Model shows in Hinckley, a committee member, and very well known as a key member of the 'Away Team' representing the EMMC in his 'Wide Load' T-shirt.
He was always patient, with a knack of closing differences with a tactful factual summary.
A Former RAF & Falklands veteran, he has given film & photo shows of his time in service, and in Saudi, an authority on RAF & Falklands topics, as well as Chinooks and Tonkas.
A well respected friend, he leaves big shoes and a 'Wide Load' T-shirt gap to fill.
He will be missed.

Andy was famous, perhaps notorious for many of his legion of kit boxes not containing anything like the box art, decals or instructions.
Nonetheless, here are some of them, (and the last 4 cars & van full of kits sold at the EMMS 2025 show).
